I’m going to preface this article with a confession: I really, really do not like clowns. Not rodeo clowns, carnival clowns, and especially not clowns named Pennywise. Needless to say, IT was the movie of my nightmares as a child. I mean, really, a clown who lives in a gutter and lures in youngsters only to kill them? NO THANK YOU.

With remakes making the rounds, from Pet Semetary to the newest IT remake franchise, it seems that Stephen King horror fans are rejoicing everywhere.

In case you haven’t heard of Coby the Cat, he’s a gorgeous cat celebrity who has millions of followers. And if you weren’t sure of his name, we’re sure that you’ve at least seen him—and his piercing blue peepers—before!

Coby’s owner likes to celebrate Halloween with her famous feline friend. And you can see that he doesn’t seem to mind one bit. Cats in costume isn’t my thing personally, but you can tell that little Coby doesn’t seem bothered by the ordeal.

Appropriately captioned with “we all meow down here” – it appears that Coby is not only gorgeous, but also a great sport even when dressed in costume!

The look in his eyes is so intense, isn’t it?! I feel as if little Coby was very much in character for this IT-themed photo op. This kitty with permanent guyliner is quite the looker, so it’s easy to see why he has amassed 1.7 million Instagram fans and counting. Curious on how this cute guy got his name? His human tells everyone on his about page that those beautiful baby blues had something to do with it:

I got my name Coby because of my cobalt blue eyes. My mom fell in love with them the moment she met me. I also respond to several nicknames, such as Cobes, Coby Baby, and Cobe-mister. I do not respond to Chubster, Cottonball, or Cobzilla.
