Rescuing kittens and cats is often an emotional rollercoaster, but overall, there are so many moments of pure joy. And that’s something we could all use vastly more of as we head into an uncertain and tumultuous New Year. So, without further ado, soak up the pure joy from floofy foster babies Dreidel and her ginger siblings. They all hit the kitten lottery and grew up with an experienced foster mom, Abby.
Fluffy Dreidel Brings Pure Joy
When Dreidel arrived from a rescue in West Virginia, Abby could hardly believe she was real. She’s like an artist’s idea of a Torbie kitten with the fluffiest fur and oversized paws and toe beans. It’s too much!

Our own Jugg and Zig Zag are torbies (or tortoiseshell-tabbies) with less than 25% white in their pretty tricolor coats. Otherwise, they’re calico cuties.
Dreidel was among the luckiest kittens born in a dangerous world at year’s end, destined for baths, feedings, a warm incubator, and “smothered with love” in their foster home. Ginger boy Hot Frosty and ginger girl Imani arrived with their sister Dreidel and were likewise cute as buttons.
“How is she real. My little floofy Dreidel,” shared Cats and Fritattas.
Nose Boops and Laughs
As we know, a Dreidel is a spinning top, and this kitten was mesmerized by things that move. Below, she gets repeat nose boops from a ball on a spring making her foster mom laugh.

Foster Kittens Make the Best Purr Machine Neck Warmers
Did you know that foster kittens make the best purr machine neck warmers? That’s not just at the holidays but all year long. One person commented that it seems that Abby is raising “foster baby chainsaws” which can be heard in the next room purring. One of a cat’s supurrpowers is their healing purr, which is known to have a healing frequency.

It’s Floof Festivus Time
In time for the holidays, Dreiisl was ready for “floof festivus” with her absurdly cute siblings in a winter wonderland.

Rescuing and fostering kittens takes a lot of work and commitment, with so many heartbreaks and happy moments. But sometimes, it’s truly meowgical, with carefree, happy, healthy kittens living their best lives. In the New Year, we’ll keep on striving to make that happen for as many lives out there as possible. Isn’t that what it’s all about?
