A foster mom is caring for quite the little character named Pluto, and we can’t get enough of him.
Black kitties are the best kitties, aren’t they? Now, we all love all kitties. But we know there are certain types of kitties that hold a special place in our hearts. Black cats get a certain stigma of being bad luck, but they’re really the sweetest things ever! This little kitten, however, is embracing his “bad” status, and we’re totally smitten!
Pluto the Black Cat
What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear “Pluto?” The Disney dog? The planet? Or maybe this kitty is named after the Roman God of the Underworld.
On TikToker, Kristen Lester posted a video featuring little Pluto!
Pluto’s story began after the Lebanon, PA, Humane Society picked him up. The rescuers suspect he may have dwarfism.
“He was your standard trash goblin wandering around as an orphaned kitten,” Kristen said on TikTok.
As it turned out, Kristen’s momma cat, Nox, recently had a litter. Then, fortunately, Nox accepted the little house panther as one of her own. What a super momma, Nox!
Kristen fosters kittens of all types and ages but specializes in orphaned neonatal kittens up to 4 weeks old and kittens with medical disabilities. On her Facebook, she also has a pinned FAQ post detailing her experience, what to do if you find a kitten, how to adopt a kitten in her care, and more!
“I have experience with both routine and emergency veterinary medicine. My oldest neonatal foster kitten is now 12 years old. I’m trained in administering all forms of medication and vaccinations, subcutaneous and intravenous fluids, maternal care and delivery, emergency… etc.”
But did she have experience caring for a cutie quite like this?
As you can see, Pluto lives up to his name! He’s a beautiful little floof and a bit spicy. Ever heard of being a spicy kitten? That’s when they cutely hiss at you even though they know you’re helping them. Kristen gives a hilarious “voice” to Pluto. The caption says he’d rather be back outside and is terribly inconvenienced by the rescue. But deep down inside, we all know he’s so happy to be well-cared for and have siblings to play with!
Pluto is ‘Incredibly Inconvenienced by Being Rescued’ in Viral TikTok
After Kristen posted the video of Pluto being his inconvenienced, spicy self, his video went viral! The video shows him making his adorable little half-hearted hiss and weeble-wobbling his little legs while walking!

“He’s so over absolutely everything and he’s been alive for all of four weeks 😂” One tikTik user said.
Pluto is totally already “I’m too old for this!” Trust us, Pluto; we’re over life sometimes too, but it’s so much better with you in it!
This funny kitten and his cute siblings (with similar god and goddess-inspired names) will look for homes in the fall. As Pluto and some of his foster sisters grew, their eyes turned a beautiful shade of blue. As they become adults, their eyes will likely change color again.
