Do you remember when you tried your favorite food for the first time? Instantly, your taste buds told you this was it, that perfect food you didn’t know you’d been missing. But now, you would never choose to be without it!

Now, imagine if you were seriously hangry and hadn’t eaten in a long while. Getting a morsel of that item would be even better. Anybody who tried to take it away at that point would be in trouble!

Pedro the ‘Churu Gremlin’

When Pedro the kitten arrived at a rescue in Mexico, he was a badly malnourished, starving baby. Someone had dumped him all alone. Cats like him that have been deprived of food often develop food insecurity issues. Whenever food is around, they want to scarf it down since they remember being so hungry.

But then things went to a whole new level when Pedro got his first taste of Churu cat treats in a tube. As his rescuers squeezed the liquid yumminess into his mouth, he became a “Churu gremlin!” That was it; he was addicted to his new favorite food -forever!

Nevermind that his rescuers were the ones feeding it to him; he would growl and fight for every drop! And by the time it was over, he was coated in gooey, sticky stuff.

“Pedro has discovered the love of his life,” shared Balam Says.

“Give up the Churu and no one gets hurt 😂,” commented Yasmin R.

“He nearly ate me alive,” joked the rescuers.

Pedro Won’t Let Go!

In another video, Pedro demonstrated the difficulty of letting go of something you really love. Even after eating every drop, he refused to let go of the plastic tube. Then, he went after a finger because it had the gooey stuff on it. Ouch!

He might be tiny, but his ‘murder mittens’ look huge as he tries to cling to the plastic with every ounce of his kitten might.

“I think we can all relate to Pedro,” the rescuers shared.

One person commented that they have similar Churu gremlins at home. To avoid the drama, they squeeze it into a bowl and back away slowly!

Pedro’s antics were so funny, and his new mom loved him so much that she brought him home to Portland, Oregon. The rescuers advised having a stockpile of Churus since they’re definitely a necessity now.

“We all go a little nuts when we find a snack we love,” Julie said.
