Florida farmer and dad Kori found more than he bargained for when he went into a farm supply store. Walking by a stack of giant feed bags, he noticed something unusual in the center. Huddled in the middle of the bags were four tiny kittens! But their mother was nowhere to be seen.
The kittens blended perfectly with the gold and white feed bags. They were so well camouflaged that store employees weren’t aware they were there. But Kori spotted them just in time because they needed help and fast!
Saving Kittens Abandoned in a Farm Supply Store
What would you do in this situation? Well, Kori didn’t miss a beat. He saw it as his duty to save those kittens and shared the encounter on TikTok.
“I just found the cutest little things,” he said.
Upon closer inspection, he could see one kitten appeared to have mange, missing patches of fur. Concerned about the kitten’s health, he went to find gloves to protect them from germs. One by one, each tiny kitten went into the shoe box an employee helped him find.
“I hate to even handle them with no gloves, cause I don’t want to make them sick,” he said.
Then, he worked with another helpful employee to take the kittens to a nearby veterinarian. While talking, he learned the kittens’ mother had previously abandoned kittens at the farm supply store. Unfortunately, no one had seen to catching her to be spayed, but that was about to change too!
Later, we learn that the mother had the kittens outside the feed store on a palette. Then, the palette got moved inside along with the precious cargo. Thus, the mother cat had no way to get back to her babies if that was her plan.
Although Kori wanted to keep the mother with her babies, she was missing. Finding her would be tricky, and she wasn’t allowed inside the farm supply store.

What Happened to the Farm Supply Store Kittens?
After the TikTok went viral, everyone wanted to know what happened to the farm supply store kittens. So, Kori shared a follow-up after the store employee took the kittens to the vet. There, they received medications for infections unrelated to mange. All had eye infections. Without their mother, they needed lots of warmth and round-the-clock feeding in foster care.
“All four of them are doing really well,” the vet explained.
“Thank you for taking care of the kittens. I was worried about that one orange one,” Kori said.
Wonderfully, he also offered to coordinate efforts to trap the mother cat living near the store. He still hoped to reunite her with her babies. But the vet suggested taking the mama to Gainesville’s Operation Catnip for spaying. That way, she would never again abandon a litter anywhere again. Also, she would be healthier and have a better quality life once released.
Meanwhile, the lucky kittens had all they needed in foster care.
