Hurricanes are one of the most devastating natural disasters on our planet. Because of their effect on such a wide area of land, the storm can uproot so many lives. This is just one kitty whose life was changed by Hurricane Ian in 2022. But thankfully, the cat wound up with a happy ending.

Bambi the Hurricane Kitty

Bambi’s life story didn’t start out so great. She was re-sheltered twice after Hurricane Ian hit Naples, Florida. She ended up at the worst stop for any kitty: a kill shelter. Hoping for someone to save her, an angel walked in the door. Bambi’s new mom was standing right in front of her and she knew she had to take Bambi home.
Bambi’s mama says this baby girl was at the shelter the first time because her owners claimed “allergies” was the problem. Then Hurricane Ian led her to be re-sheltered the second time.
The entire car ride home, Bambi cuddled under her mom’s arm wanting nothing but love and affection. Then at home, she continued the love fest in the bathtub.
Thanks to Bambi’s mom, that’s one more kitty that didn’t lose their life in a kill shelter.
Bambi Becomes A Star

Mom decided she needed to show Bambi’s story for all to see on TikTok. Her homecoming video went viral and now mama happily shows everyone her vibrant personality. People love Bambi’s relaxed demeanor…and her biscuit making! Ever since being adopted, she loves to show mama just how grateful she is for her safe and loving home. Bambi even “makes videos in her voice” directed at the people who left her at the shelter.
The adorable gray and white tabby floof also enjoys spending time with her siblings Moonie and Luna. That is, when she’s not snuggling with mom.

Now Bambi knows she’s not going anywhere. She found her forever home and she’ll never have to go back to the shelter again. Sometimes it just takes weathering a storm to find your light. Thank you this kind young lady for giving this baby the chance she deserved.
