Black cats will always be among our favorites; the sweetest, most elegant companions you could ever hope for. And we are partial to floofy black kitties like Cole and Mazikeen (Maz or Maze). In reality, they aren’t black but have the finest silky whisps of smokey silver and brown.
Other colors can be seen when the light catches a fluffy black cat just right, and it’s meowgical! But those tufts are like silk, and it’s hard to resist touching and playing with them. Sometimes, the floof is so much that they have an all-day case of bedhead.
Certainly, there’s nothing scary about a black cat, but the adorable bedhead can be next level.
Black Kitten Has Some Serious Bedhead
An adorable fluffy black kitten, Pebbles, grew up with her brother Bamm Bamm in a Los Angeles rescue. The duo has some seriously long floof, and at their tiny size, it really stands out!

One day, Pebbles decided to hang out with her foster mom, Jamie. But Pebbles wasn’t content to be on the ground. No, she insisted on riding on Mom’s shoulder or, even better, playing in her hair. As you can see, this kitten has some serious bedhead, silken strands for miles. And she loves messing up Mom’s hair, too!
This kitten is covered in tufts, and Jamie described them as irresistibly soft. Plus, she smelled so wonderful!
“My little boo thang. 🥰🫶. Pebbles is such an affectionate little angel. Her favorite place to hangout is perched up on my shoulder (or on the top of my head 😂). She loves to give kisses (so does Bamm) and she’s such a little purr baby. Pebbles fur is so soft and fluffy that I cannot help but kiss her endlessly. 🥹 Why do kittens smell so sweet?!!!” the Kitten Foster shared.

Mazikeen’s Next-Level Bedhead
Pebble’s bedhead was impressive, and she reminded us of our own Mazikeen (Maz), who loved to climb her dad, too! But Maz also liked to get up to mischief taste-testing everything she discovered.

The Floof is Strong Here
The “floof is strong” with Mazikeen. She’s a feline angel that reminds us of Cole every day. In fact, Jess and Cat Man Chris sometimes call the tufts behind her ears her “Cole wings.”
Most of the time, Maz looks so sleek and purrfect, but who could resist playing with all that floof?
