A rescued lamb found a new life at an amazing sanctuary in Australia, greeted by the sweetest nurse, Tabitha the tabby. The sanctuary offers a home to rescued farm animals of all kinds and cats too.
Tabitha arrived in Christmas of 2005 and paid the kindness the rescuers showed her forward with her nurturing instincts to many animals daily.
“Vet Nurse Tabitha,” as they called her, provided extra comfort for animals at the sanctuary. Daily, she could often be found “nestling in their warm incubator or vet room, gently licking clean orphaned piglets, lambs, and goats,” they shared on Facebook.
In a world that can often be cruel, the videos of Tabitha and the sweet baby lamb named Miss Ing cuddling is just the heartwarming medicine we need. Below, the cat and lamb gently cuddle amid a pile of soft stuffed toys as the lamb recovers from surgery due to a congenital condition.
With Tabitha’s love, the sweet lamb fully recovered.

Recently, the sweet video got picked up by Yahoo! and a UK-based vegan supermarket called GreenBay.

Where is this heaven on Earth, you ask? The sanctuary, Edgar’s Mission, saves farm animals and gives them a life of kindness.
“If we could live happy and healthy lives without harming others, why wouldn’t we?” the sanctuary asks.
Previously, Edgar’s Mission shared a TikTok of “Vet nurse” Tabitha with two new arrivals named Bubbles & Squeak. Below, you can see Tabitha tenderly loving on three-week-old baby goats staying cozy in an incubator.
“Sweet Tabitha, who is sadly no longer with us, with Bubbles & Squeak… showing us that kindness knows no bounds or species and is one trait that unites us all,” they said on Facebook.

Once, Tabitha also cared for a piglet named Calvin Swine.

Cat Friends at Edgar’s Mission
Since starting in 2003 to raise awareness about animal cruelty to pigs, including the namesake Edgar Alan Pig, the sanctuary has seen many touching moments with cats. Below, their Chief Morale Officer is a cat named Makamae, who has many daily duties, including snuggling coworkers.
At another time, for International Cat Day, they shared a few of the cats who touched their hearts over the years.
