Abdul Williams and his wife Shamiyan took in a two-day-old kitten, Mica, in the Washington Metropolitan Area area.

As a neonate, the tiny white and grey kitten needed bottle-feeding every two hours, including all night. It’s no easy task, but for fosterers, the sleepless nights are rewarded by watching the kittens grow into happy cats. And, by endless funny kitten antics along the way.

Abdul is a “kitten whisperer” whose favorite part is “seeing how much fun the kittens have during playtime.”

However, at such a young age, the kitten wasn’t quite ready for play but amewsing in so many ways.

Kitten Arrives with Abdul’s Cats

Below is what the scruffy little fellow looked like when he first arrived, eyes not yet open.

“Mica is the youngest foster ever to join us! He’s also the most vulnerable. Being so young, without a mom, and a single kitten, is a tough way to start, but he’s a fighter. Just wanted to bring back up how important it is to spay and neuter your pets. Mica was lucky he was found so quickly; neonatal kittens can’t survive without their moms. And a special shout out to those of you doing TNR work. It’s such a critical part of the animal rescue system!”

The Tiniest Biscuit Factory

Fortunately, this kitten latched to the bottle immediately and had a strong appetite. That appetite continued as he grew and grew.

While feeding, Mica created little biscuits on Abdul’s hands. After two weeks, the kitten opened his eyes and more than doubled in weight. That’s when his curiosity began, and he started exploring, making the cutest  sounds.

“Awe. Biscuit factory for sure❤️,” someone commented.

“Mica is latching great and loves his meal times!”

At the end of the month, it was already time to try some wet food. As with the bottle, Mica dove right in.

Mica Wakes Up From a Nap

Shortly after weaning to wet food, Abdul shared the cutest video, waking the kitten from a nap. Regardless of how gently he woke the kitten, he got up with a start and instantly wanted to eat, mewing as if he’d been deprived of food forever.

“Eat first! Play later! 😍” said one person.

“Mica has never gently gotten up from a nap 😂 no matter how softly I touch him he jumps up and is ready to eat!”

Funny Relationship with Food

In another video, we see this little guy continues to have a “special relationship with food.” He wants to be immersed in food at all times.

“Mica has a special relationship with food 😂 he is always ready to eat and dives all in (literally) at every meal,” Abdul’s Cats shared.

Mica Meets Another Kitten for the First Time

As a single kitten, Mica never had others to play with, but that was about to change. One day, Abdul and Shamiyan introduced him to a new little kitten friend named Jack.

At first, Mica wasn’t sure what to make of her, but a day later, they became the best of friends.

After a warm bath, the fosterers pampered the two kittens in a warm snuggly blanket. It’s the cutest double purrito.

The Kittens On Spaw Day

On their YouTube channel, Abdul and Shamiyan demonstrate how and when to bathe a kitten, and Mica is one of the show’s stars. When he was older, they shared a video of how to trim a cat’s nails for “Spaw Day.”The cutie-pie kitten was so brave but was also a little dramatic. (A blooper reel appeared on Instagram.)

Their resident cat, Queen Bambi, also makes an appearance. Their first “foster fail,” Bambi often helps raise the foster kittens.

Mica and Jack Furever

By the end of September, both young ones were ready for vaccines and then, spay/neuter time. It’s a wonderful milestone but bittersweet because then, it’s time to find their new homes.

Mica was still being silly, giving everyone the “happy paws.”

In mid-October, everyone was thrilled to see they found a furever home… together! But it’s so hard to say goodbye. By letting them go to new homes, Abdul and Shamiyan could immediately began saving new, adorable foster babies.
