Rescuer Beth Stern has a Floridian friend who took in a survivor of Hurricane Ian, a tiny kitten. She was one of many cats and kittens rescued due to the Category 4 Storm that swept through the Sunshine State on Wednesday, September 28th, 2022.

The tiny white kitten had a leg injury, but rescuers saved her and then Stern’s friend in Florida, Heather, fostered her.

“Hurricane Ian survivor in FL. Thankful one of my best friends lives in FL! My angel friend Heather immediately picked her up from her rescuer and is bottle feeding and getting her much-needed medical help. I love my friends.🌴,” Stern shared.

The same day, Stern shared that the kitten needed to see the vet for her leg. Fortunately, the wound doesn’t seem to have been deep.

“Florida Hurricane survivor kitten is headed to the vet today to address her leg wound. I wonder how she survived the storm… pretty amazing. 💕🌴💕”

No word yet on the name of this kitten. Other rescues we’ve seen have been dubbed Ian, Storm, or Stormie.

Hot Cat Dad and Rescued Hurricane Ian Kitten

By mid-October, Stern shared an update on the tiny-tot kitten. By the looks of it, this wee one is recovering nicely with lots of attention from her new Cat Dad, John.

“Florida Hurricane Ian kitten survivor is thriving with one of my best friends, Heather, and her hot husband. Lol ♥️”

What was funny in the comments was seeing how much Stern’s supporters loved this cat dad. It’s a good lesson for the men-folk out there: People 100% love seeing men who love cats and kittens.

Some people thought this Cat Dad looked like a famous person:

Another Beth Stern Rescue That Was Meant to Be

It’s not the first time Stern and Heather have worked together to save a kitty. Nine years ago, Stern fostered a cat from the North Shore Animal League named Gracie, who had a litter of kittens, including the one that would be Heather’s, named Norton Howard.

The story of how Norton came to be her beloved cat is moving, and it seems he was meant to be. Although Stern gave him to her friend, the friends consider him their “little baby boy.”

“He was such funny looking little kid, double chin, curly tail… when it came time for Beth to adopt him, she called me and basically told me that I was his mom… and that if I didn’t take him her husband was going to push for keeping him and foster fail was not happening,” Heather shared. “I did try to protest, in fact our Maxie had died only two months prior (on Beth’s bday of all days…) and I was set on another Siamese rescue. But oh my heart, this one makes it burst every. single. day. Norton Howard you were sent by the angels, I love you more than words could ever say,” Heather shared.

‘I Have Your Baby Boy’

In another post, we learn more about the call that led to Norton’s forever home.

“The message, on a Sunday afternoon during a Steelers game, went something like this… ‘Help! I am up to shenanigans, call me asap, I have your baby boy…,'” Heather shared.

Beth Stern Shares Raggedy Andy Update

Last time, we shared a post about a cat rescued with badly matted fur named Raggedy Andy, who had an epic shave. In the latest update, he looks like a brand-new cat.
