Hoseob Kim, the Korean cat, doesn’t seem to do things like other cats. He climbs with his arms like a monkey, eats hamburgers in his dreams, kicks his legs while sitting upright, and makes so many strange sounds. At times, it sounds like Hoesob is making human-like “Ahhh” while he snores.
Online, Hoseob has become a TikTok sensation as the weird sounds and antics transfix people. Can this cat be for real? Some are comparing Hoseob to a living anime cat. We can see why with his large green eyes, comic behavior, strange sounds, and almost painted appearance. Maybe, a cat, much like Hoseob inspired Korean paintings from the 17th century?

One of Hoseob’s TikToks that went mega-viral shows a dreaming kitty on somebody’s face. As he sleeps, we hear a snoring sound, and it seems Hoseob is saying something, like “awwww” or “ahhhhh.” It seems the person making the video laughed, which sounds like a grunt or snore.
“The human’s laughter got me weakk😭😭🤚” said one person.
“This cat be watching too much anime,” said another person.
“Soooo cute i just can’tttttttttt,” said another.

Other people thought the cat was making this sound, suggesting Hoseob has “Sleep Catnea,” but this doesn’t seem to be the case.
Whatever he’s saying, it’s quite unusual for a cat which is probably why over 4.5 million people have seen it.
