Another cat star was born on TikTok when Shiloh Waite shared the first video of Nugget. Suddenly, the nine-second video went viral, with over 13.6 million views in two weeks.
In the video, Nugget perfectly mimics what Waite is saying. That’s right; the cat seems to be speaking, parroting her owner verbatim.
“Oh no! Our table! It’s broken,” Waite says, each time waiting for the cat to repeat her. Each time, the cat repeats her perfectly to everyone’s amazement as Waite laughs in amusement.

Fans React to the ‘Copy Cat’
Amazingly, the TikTok received over 21K comments from viewers who couldn’t believe what they had seen.
“Why is your cat literally formulating sentences?” asked one person, while another dubbed her a “copy cat.”
Another person wanted to know how Waite discovered the feline’s amazing ability.
“The fact that it got the right amount of syllables each time!” wrote a shocked viewer.
In another comment, they expressed surprise that Nugget could “deliberately mimic someone word for word.”
Why All the Meowing Over a Broken Table?
All the meows about the table were inspired by another viral video shown first on America’s Funniest Home Videos in 2016. In that video, a boy is stacking landscaping bricks on a table. As the bricks get higher, the table eventually collapses in a loud crash, prompting the boy to cry out.
Notably, an unseen cat is present in this viral video as another child calls “Kitty!” Once again, it seems to take a touch of cat magic to make a viral video.

In a follow-up TikTok, Waite explains that she didn’t expect the overwhelming response to the video.
“I did not expect that to blow up the way that it did, but now that it did, I will bring you guys Nugget content,” says Waite. “She’s literally an amazing cat. I love her so very much. She’s pampered, pampered to death.”
For those who expressed concern about the cat, she explained, “She loves to meow, so I wasn’t hurting her in any way.”
Now, she says, “If you want serotonin from Nugget, I will give it to you.”
Then, we see a very happy and talkative Nugget responding to her human’s every word. In other videos, we see she is a very “comfy cat” and received lots of praise from fans for her beautiful face and eyes.
