Here we are at the holiday season and, at Cole and Marmalade, that means things are on fire again! Fortunately for everyone, we mean the Australian Firefighters Calendar for 2022 is here!
As we saw in the Australian Firefighter Calendars from 2020 and 2021, the pictures appear to feature animals like kittens, dogs, and horses. However, some of us don’t seem to see the animals so much. You’ll just have to trust us; there are cats and other critters in many of these photos. You just have to look hard enough!
Importantly, donations to the 2022 calendar will help wildlife welfare and rescue groups and the Kids with Cancer Foundation. After facing one of the worst wildlife disasters in modern history in 2020, Australian wildfires affected some three billion animals. So, these donations will go a long way on the long road to recovery.

The Australian Firefighters Calendar 2022 🚒🔥🔥🔥🌡️
The Australian Firefighters Calendar for 2022 resulted from a 25-day photoshoot in South East Queensland. Gee, those photographers have it rough, don’t they?
Each year, the results of their grueling efforts fulfill a much-anticipated holiday tradition worldwide, now in its 29th year. However, this year was a little different since the organizers chose winning pets from over 5,000 photos of animals submitted by pet parents from all over. Then, pets like this little kitten below got a shoulder to meow on.
On the other hand, you may recognize some of your favorite firefighters from years past – including someone considered the “Hottest Firefighter In The World.“
🔥 🔥 New Firefighters 🔥 🔥
Along with the returning hunks, you’ll spot some new faces too.
Here’s how new Firefighter Ricky Smith, from Brisbane, found out about his upcoming (surprise) photoshoot:
“I received a phone call congratulating me that I had been selected for the 2022 Australian Firefighters Calendar, I thought to myself that I had never sent an application in? what is this guy talking about? I found out later that my girlfriend had done it without me knowing. Before I knew it I was standing in front of seven members of the photography team. I was absolutely terrified, I have never even taken a selfie!”

For Firefighter Ben Church from Wester Australia, taking part was for two important women in his life:
“I wanted to do it for my Grandma and Mum, they were so proud that I was selected to take part in the photoshoot. They embarrassed the heck out of me by emailing the calendar coordinators advising them I was the most handsome firefighter in Western Australia and the guys have not stopped reminding me of that! Thanks, Grandma and Mum!”

Firefighters and All Kinds of Animals
At Cole and Marmalade, cats reign supreme, though we love all animals. However, if you prefer dogs, horses, or even mixed animals, these firefighters have you covered if you can see the animals. (Don’t look too hard!)
There’s also a “Classic” version without pets, but some may not see much of a difference.
Here’s the link to the official website, and you can also follow on Facebook and Instagram.
For examples of unusual animals, somebody said there was a Koala bear and an Echidna in the pictures below. Can you spot them, though?
