Tortie queen Pizza growled, hissed, and hid from her foster mom Liv when she first arrived at the House of Six Cats. Rescuers had found the pregnant cat living in a feral colony.

“Something in my heart couldn’t let her go before I tried socializing her,” Liv said on TikTok.

After being spayed, the plan was to return the tortie home through a trap, neuter, and release program. However, Liv saw something in Pizza and wanted to try to see if she could win her over. One day, she hoped the sweet cat could be adopted, but she had kittens to protect until then.

At first, the protective Pizza wouldn’t let Liv near the kittens. If she took a kitten away from her, the cat would immediately grab them and take them back to the nest.

“I thought she hated my guts, but I think, ultimately, she was just really protective of her kids,” Liv said.

However, as the kittens grew, Pizza gradually opened up, allowing Liv to pet her lightly.

Although the doting mama still looked uncomfortable, she was slowly learning to trust. By day eight, Pizza was doing great, purring as she enjoyed affection.

“She finally comes out from hiding when I’m in the room with her. She likes pets, but still can get a little spooked if you pet too much. This is all on her terms,” wrote Liv.

By the end of the month, Pizza was offering her belly for rubs and enjoying “all the pets.” Now, Pizza and Liv were besties.

But it was a long road, as you can see below:

🧡 When Pizza Meets Georgie 🧡

By now, Pizza was doing so well that it was time to meet the other cats in the rescue. As a cat who was used to being around other cats in a colony, the tortie immediately enjoyed interacting with no shyness. And clearly so did one cat named John Paul Jones, who immediately fell in love with her.

However, there was a particular cool cat that caught Pizza’s eye: George. When the tortie saw the orange cat, she immediately fell head over heels. But George, also rescued from the streets, was known to be a bit grumpy. Somewhat surprisingly though, he instantly fell in love with her too, returning her affection! After that, the two became lovebirds, nestled together and enjoying every moment for months on end.

Pizza and George became quite the happy couple.

“The happy couple 🍕🧡”

As you can see on TikTok, the pair soon became an incredibly tight-knit couple. Before long, Liv joked they were dating, and now married.

💍 From Feral to Life as a Married House Cat 💍

Today, Mama Pizza is loving life as a married house cat, putting on some healthy weight too! At night, she enjoys lots of pets as she snuggles into bedtime. Now, one would never know she was once a feral cat at all.

Oh, and don’t tell Georgie, but it appears she has some other boyfriends, including Potato, Mr. Tuna, and Ted.

“I can’t handle their relationship 😂🍕🧡,” joked Liv.
