Oliver and Creed may seem like an unlikely pair, a full-grown Labrador Retriever and a tiny grey tabby kitten. Since Creed the kitten arrived over the summer, the two have shared a close bond, appearing on TikTok. Oliver is a gentle giant, incredibly patient with Creed, and seems to really love the little furball. On the other hand, Creed is fearless toward his much larger best bud.
Who says dogs and cats can’t be best friends and playmates?
Below, Oliver the Lab plays fetch with Creed, the kitten. First, he picks up a ball from the floor. Then, he drops it on the sofa, where Creed is ready to retrieve it (Well, sort of). In the background, “Just the Two of Us” makes the perfect accompaniment.

When Retrievers Play Fetch
In a follow-up video, @oliverandcreed77 responds to a comment, “ok cat bring it back to me.” Instead, Oliver decides he’ll retrieve the ball himself, unable to resist as he watches Creed playing with it on the sofa. Well, Oliver is a retriever, after all.
Fortunately, the spunky kitten isn’t phased. Creed is seen sleeping on top of Oliver on the sofa in the next video, a “normal occurrence,” they say. And, don’t worry, the guy on the sofa is just taking a nap.
Oliver and Creed: Fast Friends from the Beginning
From the beginning, these two became fast friends. The week Creed came home, he received a belly rub as Oliver looked on. In other videos, the two are cuddled up so cutely on the floor together.
Before long, Oliver started playfully nudging Creed the ball with his nose as their momma looked on.
