These two extra fluffy kittens didn’t start out life this way. But it’s is all due to an animal rescue organization in Arizona that they now look like this. The neonatal kittens were found on the streets and pulled to safety. It’s a wonderful thing that they were saved, but it would be better if there were NO needy cats living homeless.
So after the transformation of these extra fluffy felines, their sweet faces were used to bring attention to the rescue organization’s biggest project.
They were fundraising to purchase traps for their ongoing and massive TNR program. Trap/Neuter/Return is the most effective way to stop the reproduction cycle of stray and feral cats. Granted, adorable kittens are the result of unaltered adult cats. But, these two represent a SMALL fraction of those that actually make is OFF the streets.
Thankfully, their story was one of no severe trauma or overcoming horrendous obstacles. But Melinda Blain, founder of Bottle Baby Fosters in Arizona, knew they have something special about these two.
Meet Luna and her sister Soleil. The girls were brought to Melinda when they were about 5 days old. There was no mama in sight and they needed to be bottle fed.
The sweet sisters thrived in foster care and before long, their tiny bodies grew the extra fluffy and gorgeous fur coats.
Luna and Soleil opened their eyes, learned how to “cat” and grew cuter by the day.
But Melinda is on a mission to save all the stray and feral cats that she can. She and other local trappers are working on spaying or neutering every cat that lives in the feral colonies they care for. However, to do this, there are certain items required that aren’t easy to come by for rescues.
Every dollar goes to the medical care and supplies needed to save these animals from the streets. And she was in need of a dozen more traps to help catch and save the local felines.
With the gentle personalities of the girls shining through their furry faces, it didn’t take long for her to reach her $1000 goal!
They were pre-adopted together and both will be travelling from Arizona to California after their spay surgeries! These two fluffy nuggets just keep getting cuter and cuter each day. So I’m crossing my fingers and eyes that they will have a social media account we can all follow.
Because there’s nothing wrong with using your gorgeous gifts to help others! Thank you to Melinda, everyone involved with Bottle Baby Fosters and most importantly…the fabulous and extra fluffy Luna and Soleil!
