After writing a story about this amazing rescue back in May of 2019, their newest–and again another massive–undertaking, was no surprise. Toronto Cat Rescue is stepping up to help another rescue in Quebec. This time though….the goal is to help save 100 cat lives in one day; which just happens to be on #GivingTuesday! So when I received their press release, I was happy to help spread the word.
TORONTO CAT RESCUE IS SAVING 100 LIVES for #GivingTuesday!
YOUR DONATION SAVES LIVES AND THE 100 CATS WILL BE SAVED THANKS TO YOUR #GivingTuesday GENEROSITY!
As you know, we regular help a large, rural shelter in Quebec when they become overwhelmed. Too many cats with not enough homes to adopt them. Sometimes we get asked – why this shelter, why bring cats in from out of Province? The answer is simple. It’s so these cats and kittens have a better chance of adoption. And a chance at getting the life they deserve. If we don’t step up to help, the alternative for these cats is they will languish in the shelter, mosy likely get sick, and potentially be euthanized to create space. [Space] for the endless number of stray, unspayed and unneutered cats that are brought to the shelter daily. For these cats and kittens, we are their last chance.
Not only that, an amazingly generous donor of theirs is matching the #GivingTuesday donations up to $20,000!
Toronto Cat Rescue wants to ensure the safe harbour of these precious lives. And with your help, we can save them all. On this #GivingTuesday, please help us with a gift to help give 100 cats and kittens a second chance to find a loving, forever home.
We won’t walk away knowing these cats need our foster and adoption program for a second chance of a better life. And we won’t walk away knowing these cats will suffer. #GivingTuesday is just one day. But we fight every day of every year to rescue and find homes for abandoned, sick or injured cats.
