In Los Angeles, rescuer Megan Nicole M, a.k.a. @meganandtherescues is busy with a new litter of kittens to the delight of everyone. It’s the ‘Finding Nemo’ (and also Dory) litter and they are utterly adorable. While their stray family is run by mama Escape, Megan certainly has her hands full helping her little fluffs.
The Finding Nemo Litter
Megan didn’t share much about their initial discovery or how they ended up in her care. But it was early summer, also known as kitten season, so homeless kittens and litters are sadly everywhere. This family was extremely lucky to find their own tale could have happy endings now. What little that was mentioned was heartbreaking though.
The good news is, all the infected puncture wounds they all arrived with are officially fully healed over.
And when Megan announced their names, supporters were thrilled at the theme.
In a world obsessed with touching the butt, the beans just keep growing, just keep growing, just keep growing… growing… growing…
Daily Life with the Crew
Stray mama may be holding on to her ‘sass’, but Megan won’t let that get in the way of helping her. Because Escape looks to be a young cat herself and seems to be ‘over it all’ somedays. But patiently and with dedication, Megan gives her the space she needs to hopefully trust humans. Thankfully, she will be spayed and this will be her last litter.
We actually set up the perfect comfortable little hideaway for her & carefully blocked off every corner & she immediately destroyed it all 😌 I have continued with repairs and re-trying 😅
Looks like the Finding Nemo babies are carrying on mom’s stubbornness themselves too. But with faces that cute, they likely get away with anything they want.
This would normally be just about the time I start mixing a small amount of wet food into their bottles to slowly get them used to the taste before trying it on its own about a week from now. But while mama is being exceptional, she is also kind of over the whole thing 😅 We have been supplemental bottle feeding from the beginning to help mama keep up, but the babies are all about ✨authenticity✨ and it’s not been as big of a success as I would like. But, they started showing a small amount of interest in mamas food this week 🤔 So we went with it 🤪
