Kittens can get into a lot of trouble, more than most of us could get into in a lifetime. It’s a big, scary world out there for a kitten, and yet they are generally blissfully unaware of the dangers. That innocence is one reason we find them so irresistible, and thank goodness there are good folks out there going to great lengths to save them. For example, Florida’s ‘Cat Cop‘ was one of many people who saved the day for a carefree kitten named Ace Aventura.
The kitten’s name reminds us of Jim Carrey as Ace Ventura, Pet Detective and his furry namesake is just as wild!
Ace Aventura Rescued By the Cat Cop/Detective
It was just another day for Officer Gretchen Byrne, well-known for her frequent kitten rescues in the Coral Springs area. On this day, a gray fluffball, Ace, was on the loose all on his own in Aventura, just above Miami.
While the place is lovely for humans, a tiny, helpless kitten wouldn’t stand much of a chance on its own.
Thankfully, a UPS driver saw the kitten and carried him in the truck. From there, Ace Aventura made his way in two separate police cars. And you can guess where he was headed: to the Cat Cop, who was just ending her shift for the day.
Ace was down inside a canvas bag and not about to be contained. The bag came alive as the tiny kitten wriggled free into the arms of his new foster mom. Considering all he’d been through in one day alone, he was extremely lucky to find himself in that bag.
“Ace Aventura was a prisoner drop off right before the end of shift. So far he’s been in a UPS truck and two police cars 😂,” shared Officer Byrne.

A Wild Handfull
As you can see, the pictures of the tiny Ace don’t even look entirely real, he’s just that cute!
“Ace Aventura 😍”
In the humid weather, his fur is standing in all directions, and he looks like a little blue-eyed teddy bear with oversized claws.
“Frizz is gonna be out of control with this rainy weather we are supposed to be getting,” said Officer Byrne.
At this age, he has sparkling kitten-blue eyes, which usually start slowly changing to their adult colors by 4-8 weeks old.
A few days later, Ace was cute as a button but having some common issues. But as with most kittens that find themselves outside alone, he had some tummy troubles – aka ‘the squirts” or “butt demons!” It sounds like something straight out of the Pet Detective movies, doesn’t it?
“Good morning, I have butt demons. Love ~Ace ❤️”
Crayzee in the Coconut
Fortunately, Ace Aventura recovered quickly from his butt demons and was back to his wild and crayzee antics in the BKA kitten academy.
Just imagine this tiny terror on the loose in the streets of Florida!

With his potato belly full without a care in the world, Ace can be as carefree as pawsible. If only every kitten could experience this kind of trouble-free kittenhood without worries.
Watching kittens have this much fun is the biggest reward for foster parents and for everyone who follows their journey online.
As soon as he’s ready, we can see he’s going to have endless fun wherever he goes next. Happy life to Ace and may your adventures continue to be pure joy and wonder!
“I can’t with this guy 😂!”
