It was like a feline episode of Sister, Sister, the 90s sitcom, when Tia, Tamera, and their neighbor Roger arrived at their new foster home.
Abdul from Abdul’s Cats introduced the trio to the world in late June during prime kitten season. Aside from a nicked ear tip and tail, Tamera was doing fine, along with her unusually chill sister, Tia.
Although the shelter designated the green-eyed beauties as under-socialized, they warmed up quickly, becoming “surprisingly friendly.” As it turned out, these sisters were among the chillest kittens ever!

Unfortunately, black and white boy Roger arrived with a nasty Upper Respiratory Infection (URI) and needed some TLC, medicine, and warm compresses.

Until he recovered, he stayed apart from his sisters. But thankfully, he overcame the nasty infection.

Bambi Meets the Sister, Sister Kittens
Bambi, the resident kitty who inspired the family’s rescue, also warmly welcomed the Sister, Sister kittens. She had her sixth birthday in July and has been a meowdel foster mom to the foster babies.

Right away, Bambi became a “kitten magnet” as the trio followed their auntie everywhere.
Meow-ditation Techniques
After getting tuckered out from playtime, the Sister, Sister kittens became chill little Zen kittens.
Here are Tia and Tamera conked out on Shamiyan after some roughhousing.

Both sisters loved climbing to the top of the scratching post.

One day, Abdul came in and was surprised to see Tia hanging in mid-air contemplating life from a new angle.

“I’ve never seen a cat do this 😂 Tia likes to hang off of scratching posts and contemplate life,” Abdul’s Cats shared.
Later, Tia got a relaxing tummy massage and stretched her legs. She had zero cares in the world.

If only we could all feel this way! It reminds us of baby Cole doing his shadow-boxing and Stick-Em-Up! routine. Black cats are just pawesome that way.

The Sister, Sister Trio Head Into The Void
These two ‘void kittens’ were experts at disappearing in the shadows of the bookshelf, particularly when it was time for a trip to the vet.

And Tia didn’t use the cat bed like most cats. Not at all.
“Why would you sleep on a bed when you can sleep under a bed 😂.”
A Golden Future
As great as they were at hiding, nothing could stop these cuties from growing up too fast. They were ready to take on the world with their newly golden eyes.

It didn’t take long for Tia and Tamera to find a home together, where they became Kiki and Lala. And Roger’s destiny took another direction to a loving home of his own. Happy trails to the Sister, Sister kittens!
