Noodle the Dood Cat, is a beloved, wobbly and bobbly tuxie living with cerebellar hypoplasia (CH) in Seattle. He is the “warmest of noodles” and the King of Cuddles wherever he goes.
As we’ve shared before, CH affects the brain’s cerebellum before birth and causes coordination issues to varying degrees. Some cats have a mild case and can even outgrow symptoms to a degree with time and physical therapy. Others, like Noodle the Dood, will most likely always be wobbly on their feet.
Having soft places for him to play helps keep him safe from injury, like this fluffy cat bed he loves.
But cats with CH aren’t in pain and can live a normal lifespan in a loving home.
Some simple accommodations help them stay safe since they can bump into things more than most cats. You can see more in our previous article about what types of accommodation to expect. It’s nothing too complicated, and many cats with CH can get in an out of an easily modified litter box.
Noodle the Dood On the Job
Here’s Noodle hanging out at the vet clinic, playing while Mom, Karissa, does her work. She and her partner Gavin adopted the little Dood at five months old and everywhere he goes, people fall in love with him.

At the vet clinic, he even got an official plaque for offering his services to everyone in the office for free.
Emotional Support Noodle
One day, Noodle’s big brother Basil visited the clinic to have his eye checked out. And Noodle was there for him, making the experience so much nicer! His mom, Karissa, says Noodle is a pro at offering emotional support.
“Big brother Basil had to be seen at the clinic today for a corneal ulcer, so Noodle tagged along to do what he does best: provide emotional support. 🖤🤍”
At home, Noodle also offers emotional support to her big sister, a gentle giant in the home.
A Toothless Wonder
One day, Noodle became ill, and he went back to the clinic. That’s when his parents learned he had severe dental issues due to malformed teeth. Often, dogs or cats with cerebella hypoplasia have increased susceptibility to dental issues, such as tooth fractures. But his case was quite serious.
So, Noodle had to make another adjustment, life as a “toothless wonder.” Once again, he was adaptable and kept on going. After the dental surgery, his tongue lolled out more, and it’s so silly and adorable.

Noodle’s Comedy Debut
Noodle is a favorite wherever he goes. He even became a star during a comedy show where his dad, Gavin, works! Here he is with comedians Luke Severeid and Scott Losse.
At his comedy show appearance, Noodle the Dood also met Zane Lamprey, a comedian who rescues cats with amazing rescuer, Mel Lamprey.
“They are also parents and rescuers to disabled cats. We were able to bond over how wonderful it is to have these creatures in our lives. Thanks for the fun time!”
The Best Decision to Adopt a Noodle
When Noodle the Dood celebrated his birthday, his pawrents said adopting the wobbly kitten was a great decision. He’s brought so many people joy and is purrfect the way he is.
“Today our little Noodle Dood turns one!! I could have never imagined such a sweet, sassy little guy would come into our lives and bring so many people joy. Adopting him was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. We love him so much. He will be getting lots of Churu and love today. Happy birthday Nood Dood!”
