The purrfect combo, Ham and Biscuit, instantly bonded when they met in foster care. A sweet tuxedo cat, Biscuit loves being in a “Ham sandwich”, always cuddled up and playing with his best pal.

As we shared before, Ham was once an elusive feral kitty in Brooklyn. Rescuers repeatedly tried to catch him, but he acted like a ham, teasing them as he refused to go in the TNR trap. But two years later, he suddenly lost his vision, likely to a traumatic injury. It took time and lots of love, but rescuer Dana and a friendly resident cat helped him adjust, and he has since become a “truly magical indoor boy.”

Ham decided being an indoor kitty was great, and then it got even better when he met the 7-month-old Biscuit. From the start, they knew they simply belonged together.

“Biscuit loves to snooze on his human’s chest, and Ham is usually right by them on the couch, waiting for Biscuit to cozy up next to him. They love to wrestle and play with ribbon toys and are just truly the best of friends,” Dana shared.

Ham and Biscuit Simply Go Together

Dana had a feeling that the ‘oversized baby’ Ham would love the sweet but boisterous Biscuit, the only male in a litter of rescues. The two instantly gravitated to one another, like they were fate. Biscuit became like Ham’s emotional support animal, staying with him and acting like his seeing eye cat.

We’ve seen other cases where cats become like ‘seeing eye cats‘ for blind kitties or dogs, instinctively guiding and nurturing them. And how lovely and touching it is to witness!

“The bromance has been almost unbearable 😭,” she shared.

Ready to Serve Love to the Right Home

After eight months of caring for Ham, it was bittersweet to open adoption applications for him. And, of course, he’s a package deal with Biscuit.

“Ham has his best friend Biscuit by his side now, and they’re ready to move into their next phase of life TOGETHER! These boys are a package deal; I wouldn’t dream of separating them,” she shared.

As people often do, they ask why the foster mom couldn’t adopt them, but goodbye is the goal that allows rescuers to continue helping animals that desperately need help. Dana and a network of fosterers and rescues helped 130 cats in 2023!

“The most handsome boys in Brooklyn.”

The Purrfect Package Deal

These two are incredible and ready to bring so much joy to the right home. Both first went up for adoption in the summer of 2023, and despite being so adorable together, they curiously haven’t found the right home at the time of this writing.
