For the first time in years, foster mom Lauren was overtaken by “tiny tabby twins.” It started with two tabby twins, adorable Day and Darcy. But then the tabbies kept arriving all summer!

“Fun fact: this is the first time in my years of fostering that I have ever had more than one tabby in the same litter!” Lauren shared.

The cute bottle babies were becoming big kids as if overnight, and that’s when another wave of four striped and zig-zagged kittens from the shelter arrived. Good things come to those who wait, as they say!

Kittens grow up in a flash, but Lauren is a master of taking the cutest baby pictures. She placed little origami hats on them, and it’s like they came from Tiffany’s, as a follower said. The mystery is how she got them to look at the camera before the hats fall off!

Spooning Tabby Twins

Suddenly, the Arlington-area home was tabby heaven, a dream come true. At about four weeks old, Eli, Ellington, Ezra, and Eden were all doing well without the tummy troubles and suckling behaviors Day and Darcy had recently recovered from.

“My foster room is tabby heaven right now… so in other words, a dream come true!” she shared.

At the New Year, Lauren said the dreamy reel was among her fan’s top 3 favorites for 2023.

“Is there anything dreamier than a pair of kittens spooning? I think not!” said Lauren.

A Tumble of Tabbies

Now, there were six tabby twins in the foster room, and Lauren highly recommended it. Even though there were plenty of poopy tummy troubles, never-ending cleanup, and laundry along the way.

“Please excuse my disheveled appearance but this post-feeding snuggle sesh was too cute not to share. 10/10 would recommend finding yourself under a tumble of tabbies!⁣”

While some folks like going out on a Friday night, there was plenty of wild fun at home in the nursery.

“I love a wild Friday night in 😻”

Although the tabbies were dreamy, they were also hungry hungry hippos, going through eight cans of wet food each day. Supporters helped support their ravenous appetites as they grew in the blink of an eye. You can see Chloe the resident black and white kitty nibbling near the hippos below..

Thanks to their loving foster mom’s care, the tiny tabby twins grew up strong and started new lives. Each found their home, where they’ll continue to bing “light and laughter” to families for a lifetime.
