An Alabama mom shared the funny moment her daughter Ava ran barefooted from the car across a field to rescue a spicy feral kitten. It’s nothing new for the animal lover, who had recently saved a turtle, a chicken, and a snake from the road, too! Animals just seem to find Ava, her mom says.
As she laughed from the car, the young lady took off across the field at a full run. However, the black and grey flufball wasn’t about to be caught, and he tried his best to escape. But he met his match with Ava, who fearlessly caught him up and brought him back to the car.
Even as she approached, you could see the gears turning. How would she convince her mom to keep him?
“She’s gonna say, ‘Can we keep him, Momma?’ said Lori King. “The answer’s gonna be, ‘Nope!…Look at him, he’s a ferocious tiger,” as her daughter pleaded, “Please!”

As you can see in the video, the daughter made a strong case for saving the kitten.
“Look, he can’t survive out here. He’s going to get eaten by some dog,” Ava said. “Can we please keep him? Or find him a good home? Please?” she said, giving it her best try.

In the TikTok caption, we see the mom was just bluffing. She was actually so impressed with Ava that day she immediately gave in, and the kitten was pulled from the streets.
“My kids are the most amazing on the planet…I was just so impressed with her barefoot sprinting capabilities I had to say yes…his name is Amorè,” shared Lori King.

Why Did the Mom Stop the Car?
After the TikTok went viral, everyone wanted an update. A follower asked, “Did she make you pull over to get [the kitten]?” King replied that she pulled over because Amorè was confidently strutting down the middle of the road. That’s when Ava seized the moment and jumped from the car.
“He was walking right smack in the middle of the gravel road that leads down to the creek bank. No mom cat [was] found, and nobody claimed him. But yes, he was walking like he owned that gravel road, so I had to stop, and then she jumped out, and it was on!”
After looking around for any other kittens and not finding any, they thought maybe somebody had driven by and dumped him there. But it was their loss and now, he’s safe and happy as can be with the family.

From Field to Family
Did the kitten’s rescuers find an adoptive home for the fluffy guy? Nope, of course he became completely inseparable from his rescuers right away. He’s home to stay.
