Gerry the black cat shows that cats are extremely expressive indeed! His look of utter shock was caught on a Ring cam and made thousands laugh – an instant classic!

It started when a kind woman returned Gerry to his home, holding him up to the doorbell. Inside, Gerry’s mama called his name. In reaction, he seemed to have been very, very confused by the voice coming from the device. His ears went back, and his eyes, already in night mode, opened up even further as he reacted as if in a real-life cartoon.

As the woman rang the doorbell, Gerry’s mom responded:

“Hi! Oh my gosh! Gerry!” obviously relieved to see him appear with a smiling woman.

“This cat was shocked!” the company posted on Instagram.

A Friendly Black Cat Says Hi on Cam

Although Gerry was extremely shocked by the doorbell cam, other cats seem to have figured out how they work. For example, here’s a black cat named Ana who drops by the neighbor’s house to say “hello there!” on cam.

“No superstition here. Ana loves when this neighborhood cat comes by to say hello,” the company shared.

Ring! Ring! Another Bear Visitor on Cam

Another cat name AR went viral when a bear approached the home’s security cam. Inside, the cat’s mom, Kira got a big surprise when she reviewed what happened next. As the bear tried to get closer, AR fearlessly launched an attack! Fortunately, the bear decided this cat was too much trouble and made a hasty retreat.

“Kira lives near the woods, so bears are a common sight. She has an outdoor cat named AR, who. in this moment, faced off against an unsuspecting bear. As the bear walked toward the front of the property, AR came face to face with it and hissed, scaring the bear! Kira says AR is okay, and when she reviewed the footage later, she was “laughing hysterically.” Ring shared.
