Purscilla, the emerald-eyed feline, loves nothing more than to climb in her cactus-style cat tree. She’s a real beauty, but remained in foster care in Palm Beach County, Florida, for months seeking a home. One look and it’s a puzzle why nobody has taken her! Unfortunately, even the most beautiful adult cats tend to wait longer for the right people to find them.
Over the winter, Purscilla’s family got evicted and had to make an extremely difficult but wise choice. They decided to surrender the scared cat to foster mom Kelly. But long before that, the sleek tabby was living outside with a litter of kittens. It must have been a scary experience with so many dangers around her. Then she had to find a new home, not knowing if she would ever be safe.
“She was found on the street having just nursed a litter (way before she came to me), and then her family was evicted. She was absolutely petrified and, as you can see, contorted under the couch to hide when people were around,” Kelly shared.
Given some quiet time, Purscilla’s true self emerged, an affectionate and playful purring lap cat. She just needed patience after all she’d lived through.
“She’s a gorgeous girl with such a fun personality! Very playful and affectionate, she is shy at first but once she trusts you she’s all over you!”
While you can’t miss those bright green eyes, she also has the cutest tongue blep.
“Foster Purscilla has the best eyes, but the cutest thing about her IMO is that little tongue 👅 “
Purscilla Queen of the Desert
In her foster home, Purscilla often peeks from behind the cactus house plants.
And one of Purscilla’s favorite things to do is climb her cactus-themed cat tree. That’s where she’s really in her element and why she earned the funny name Purscilla, Queen of the Desert. She loves to look down majestically from her perch on high with those huge green eyes.
“Purscilla (Queen of the Desert) lives to climb! If you have a catio full of cat trees, she would love to come live with you 🌵,” Kelly shared.
As a daily ritual, Purscilla climbs her cactus for some silly antics and stretching.

If you get close, she loves to play like a kitten.
“Gorgeous Purscilla is so playful 💚🌵”
A Funny Meowdel Wherever She Goes
When she’s not climbing her cactus, Purscilla is peeking out from unexpected places.
As you can see, she’s silly whether she’s in a tree or on the ground. And that soft, spotted belly is also a big plus!
“Purscilla 💛 She’s just… a hula girl at heart.”
“Please adopt me… love, Purscilla 💛”
“Purscilla and her emerald eyes 💚”
