A ginger cat named Mr. Peach put on an impromptu show in a window on St. Patrick’s Day for a crowd of onlookers attending the annual block party. The cat’s purrformance became viral, and he was dubbed “St. Patrick’s Cat” on TikTok. The ginger kitty was above a bar called The Irish Bank in downtown San Francisco.
While what looked like thousands danced, a man held Mr. Peach aloft and moved his paws while DJs below played the song “I just came to say AY-YO” by Boxout.
As they danced, the DJ waved the Irish flag around, and people looked delighted by the surprise guest cat. Meanwhile, the walls of the building strobed in all the colors of the rainbow.
“When’s the cat’s next show and how can we get tickets?” asked the pop culture website MUCH on Facebook.
As the cat “danced” in the window, people cheered and danced, waving toward the cat.
“Nothing unites a group of people like a cat dancing from a window,” commented someone on TikTok.

In another scene from TikTok, Mr. Peach dances as the song goes into the frenetic mashup of the song where it repeatedly goes, “Bing Bong!”

Mr. Peach Rocks St. Patrick’s Day
On social media, a few people were concerned the cat was being mistreated. But the cat is fine, as we’ll see next, and seems to be very loved by his humans.
“That cat is 100% used to and chill with the shenanigans. If not, that window would be a crime scene. Absolutely adorable companionship and trust between the two,” said one person.
“What I love is that if the cat wasn’t feeling it, he’d have torn that person’s face off. Cat was VIBIN'” joked another person.
“The cat is the main character,” said another TikToker.
“They live over an Irish bar in downtown San Francisco. The cat is used to partying 😂” another commented on TikTok.
The comment was featured in another TikTok in which Mr. Peach watches the people partying below the window.
The St. Patrick’s Day Block Party from Mr. Peach’s Purrspective
Someone commented that not everyone seemed to be dancing toward the cat, but things looked quite different from Mr. Peach’s purrspective.
Mr. Peach is doing great after the impromptu concert at the windowsill. However, he seems a little bored without his concertgoers/minions to entertain.
“Where are all of you at?”
