Taking care of hurt and disabled animals can be gut-wrenching. But there are superheroes out there who have hearts of gold and nerves of steel to make it happen. One of those heroes is Britt Lynn.
Britt runs the Happy Tailz Cat Rescue in the Tampa Bay, Florida area. Happy Tailz specializes in kitties with special needs, especially those with cerebellar hypoplasia, injuries, intensive care illnesses, and FIV+/FeLV+ precious floofs. Not to mention, Cat Man Chris’s stray and feral catches that need some extra assistance. Let’s meet some of her adorable babies!
WARNING: Some photos of Coral may be disturbing due to her nose biopsy.

Coral, AKA Miss Bright-Eyed Sassy Pants
Coral is a precious orange and white tabby. She’s like a little creamsicle! Recently she had to have a biopsy on her nose and some x-rays. Sadly, the test showed pleural effusions. This happens when fluid builds up between layers of tissue in the lung and chest cavities. The more common term is “water on the lungs.”
Pleural effusions are purrfectly treatable, but sadly she also has other health problems. But, Coral is 13 and living her best life in Britt’s care. She’s certainly “miss bright-eyed sassy pants” as Britt calls her when she feels her best! She’s very active and doesn’t have a care in the world and loving life.
“Look at this big girl sitting up!! And those big eyes. Good job sweet thing . She doesn’t care she has pleural effusions, ruptured nasal mass, heartworms, enlarged heart, heart failure, and FIV. Or that she’s 13. While this may not change whatever results are coming she’s feeling better day by day.”
When transporting Coral, she travels in the Super-Kitty Transport.
“Someone tell me how to add a cape to this please? She’d look cute lol.”
Britt also takes care of Yoda, a black and white moo cow kitty, and Spinosaurus, a beautiful Russian blue baby.

These are just a few among many others throughout her time as an angel caregiver! We thank you Britt for devoting your time and effort to these precious kitties who just need some help and a second chance.
“My 4am’s are made so much better by this face. Look at her little paws healing. Her cute, chubby, face. With all of her struggles I had no idea if we’d be able to give her a better life. While the outcome will not change, she is a hospice kitty… She is HAPPY and does have a better life. That’s the end goal for these kiddos. Love this little face,” Britt shared.
