Electrician, Addison Chandler, was on the job when a tiny black kitten, later named Martin, appeared. It seems the kitten was looking for Chandler and came right up to ask for help.
Cats seem to instantly know when people love them because Chandler helps foster cats in Oklahoma City with partner Rachel. Whatever the case, the kitten chose him, which means it was meant to be. No doubt the kitten knew what he was doing and showed little doubt, triumphantly riding on the man’s shoulder.
Later, he shared what happened on Instagram, showing the black kitten taking over the vehicle looking for snacks in a paper bag, and rubbing against his face.
Look how happy they both are as Martin affectionately rubs against his rescuer’s cheek. The sun streams in the window. It’s one of those rare golden moments for sure. If you are lucky enough to be chosen by a cat, it’s surely a sign of good things to come.

“Meet Martin the Warrior. He found me on a jobsite this morning. He’s now safe and fed and happy. Welcome to your foster home, bud. 😘 This dude found me at work today.”
In the comments, someone said, “I would just quit. That’s like winning the lottery honestly, hahaha.”
Martin Makes the Tiniest Biscuits
Chandler and Rachel took Martin in, placing the tiny kitten on a soft pink blanket. Right away, he started making the tiniest of biscuits.
“This is Martin, the cute little fellow that found Addison at work last week. I sat him down on his first soft kitten bed and this was his reaction. So sweet, I definitely cried a little!” Rachel shared. “He has settled in remarkably well and just needs to gain some weight and grow. I can’t imagine how scary and tough his life was before this, but it’s all cuddles and soft blankets from here on out. 💕”
Life in Foster Care
A month later, Rachel updated how Martin was progressing in foster care. He was making lots of new friends and napping on soft blankets everywhere he could.
“Martin update! This little dude is a nonstop sweetheart. He immediately made himself at home around here, befriended all the other kitties, and made it his mission to nap everywhere in the house. I’m proud at how good he’s doing, go Martin!”
Although Martin had many buddies, he will undoubtedly always keep a soft place in his heart for Chandler.
“Little man is such a mush!”
By the end of October, Martin was growing into such a beautiful little house panther.
“Martin is adorbz.”
Chandler joked that Martin had become “Halloween incarnate” with big scary teefers. But this black cat is a big sweetie, and we hope he’ll find the purrfect forever home. In the meantime, the couple had a baby. As we know, black cats often bring good luck, and we wish them the best with their growing family.
