On July 10 2022, Foster Kitten HQ in Arlington, Virginia, took in three newborn kittens dubbed “the Grecian Greys.” The tiny kittens arrived “dirty and crawling with fleas” as the rescuer prepared to say goodbye to a group of ten kittens ready for forever homes.
This really is foster kitten headquarters, as you can see below. All of these furbabies are so lucky to get the chance for a happy life, while so many out there won’t make it.
The Grecian Greys and Queen Gray
As noted, the Grecian Greys arrived covered in grime. And their poor momma cat, Queen Gray, was hurt, requiring emergency care. Somehow, she had been wounded in her abdomen. Fortunately, she survived surgery but needed to recover in another foster home.
These babies were so young they didn’t know how to use a bottle yet and had fleas and eye infections. But after a bath, they were pretty and fluffy again. Then, the rescuer treated their crusty eyes.
“They don’t understand the bottle just yet, so they will be tube fed until they begin to latch,” the rescuer explained.
The next day, we learned their Grecian-inspired names: Veria, Delphi, and Milos – Two girls and one boy (Milos).
“Meet Veria! 💜”
“Meet Delphi! 💜”
“Meet Milos! 💙”
The Kittens Bounce Back Fast
The Grecian Greys’ eyes were already responding to treatment in just a few days. Even though they didn’t know how to use a bottle, they learned fast and quickly began feeding and gaining weight. All were “healthy and chonky,”, especially Veria.
“Veria’s eye infection has cleared up so quickly – it’s almost 100% better already! She’s also storming ahead of the others to become queen chonk. They were very dirty and crawling with fleas when they came in, but after a few baths to clean them up, everyone’s soft and fluffy, and I think the last creepy crawlies are finally gone.”
The Most Rolly-Polly Babies Ever
Just a day later, we see the precious furbabies are happy as can be, rolling about with each other.
“These guys are some of the most rolly-polly babies I’ve had, and here they are to cover you in sunshine 🥰’
Soon, Delphi’s belly turned into a sweet potato.
“What a nice belly you have, Delphi 😻”
Meanwhile, have you ever seen anything as cute as baby Veria?
“Good morning 🙃”
Before you answer, look at baby Milos and his adorable folded ears. Later they would straighten out as he grew into the cutest little man.
“Milos, you have absolutely no business being this adorable, with those little folded ears.”
“Just a boy and his elephant 💙”
He also has some unique toe beans.
“Milos has ombré beans 🐾”
All the kittens loved cuddling on the colorful puff.
Three-ish Week-Old Grecian Greys
Just when you thought you couldn’t handle more cuteness, the rescuers shared the Grecian Greys in a tiny bubble bath setting.
“🎶 I’m forever blowing bubbles🎶 Delphi is blowing bubbles galore for her 3-ish week birthday!” Below, Veria wears a bubble hat.
“Milos is pampering himself for his 3-ish week birthday, with a nice warm bubble bath 🛁”
Since they miss their mama cat, the babies have a plush Calmeroos cat with a heartbeat.
“Sweet Milos watching over his sisters 💙”
Crazy Potato Stage
By the end of July, the Grecian Greys were at the “crazy potato stage,” exploring and playing. Soon, they graduated to a larger play area, going wild with a room to play in.
“The #greciangreys are growing up! They upgraded to a bigger pen in the foster room over the weekend, and they absolutely love all the space to go wild in. Next level: whole room!”
Preparing to Find Loving Homes
By now, they were getting to be bigger than their Calmeroos cat mom. It wouldn’t be long before they would be ready for forever homes; it happens so fast but takes so much round-the-clock care from kind foster care providers. They are willing to sacrifice their sleep for weeks so that these furbabies can make it in the world.
To ensure they have the best chance at life, the rescuers will now carefully find a home where the kittens could be together or in pairs. We hope they find the perfect home together.
“It seems that the less kittens you have in a litter, the stronger their bond is 🥰.”
