A stray white kitten later named Birdie found herself separated from her mother and sibling. But inside a nearby home, a family with a black and white cat named Otley kept a close eye on her. And it seems like this kitten was really meant to be with this family.
Before the kitten showed up, Alice McColl and her family noticed a stray cat lingering outside. While reaching out for help, McColl gave the cat some food and water.
One day, the cat came back with two kittens. McColl hoped to rescue them all, however only Birdie returned. Meanwhile, her Tuxedo cat Otley watched with great interest from the window.
As we know, cats can often be territorial, but Otley found the white kitten fascinating.
Birdie and Otley Meet for the First Time
After watching all the activity outside the window with rapt interest, Otley finally met the kitten on the porch one day. With caution, the kitten came a little closer and seeing that Otley was friendly, she followed. Before long, she was inside the house.
Observing how the two cats were fast friends, McColl decided the kitten was meant to be, naming her Birdie. As you can see in the TikTok below, Otley and Birdie share a heartwarming bond. They love each other, cuddling and snuggling all over the home. In another scene, Otley bathes the kitten with affection. Pure bliss.
Otley and Birdie – Yin and Yang
After the Honeymoon was over, would Otley and Birdie still be so close? Well, an update shows they are inseparable, and Birdie has made herself quite at home.
“She adores him and follows him everywhere, and he just seems happy to have a friend to spend the day with,” Alice told Love Meow.
Everywhere Otley goes, there is cute little Birdie, and they are as happy as can be. Near a sunny windowsill, they cuddle up together. And it’s no surprise, but McColl decided to adopt Birdie, so this duo will always be together!
“He found the Yin to his Yang,” one person says of Otley.
An Unbreakable Friendship
The following month Otley and Birdie’s blissful love affair continues. In an update, we see the cats enjoying their days without a care in the world. Last week, McColl said, “These two are still very happy and healthy at home together.”
“They eat together, sleep together and play together, and just basically completely inseparable at this point. They have an unbreakable friendship and it is so cute,” McColl said.
After their story has gone viral, everyone wants to see more of these adorable cuties.
“These two live an easy life.”
