Mummy Mable, the Saint Bernard, has become a TikTok star since first appearing with Truffle the pig in February 2021. The 3-year-old dog is a gentle nanny with all the animals who live on the farm with Emma Haag in Suffolk, UK.

It’s so adorable to watch gentle giant Mable as she interacts with the smallest animals, from baby ducklings, chicks, piglets, kittens, to baby bunnies. Always, Mable has endless patience and love for the animals, whether the geese nibble her ears, the ducklings take cover beneath her, or the chicks sit on her head. The good-natured clown always wants to have fun, encouraging gentle play with all.
Helping the Foster Kittens
Frequently, Emma shares TikToks of the kittens in foster care.
“They all come scared, frightened, hissing, and wanting to bite my hand every time I try to comfort them,” she says on Instagram. “You can’t rush taming them, but once you crack that barrier, it’s so rewarding, and they give you so so much back! I love being part of their journey. I just hate when it’s time to say goodbye to them,” she continued.
In 2021, Emma caught, rescued, and tamed 35 kittens, helping them find forever-homes. In the meantime, Mable helps them adjust to living in homes that may have a dog one day. Of course, no dog has ever been as gentle as Mable, it seems. She’s the ultimate gentle nanny, protecting each little fluffball.

When it’s time for Easter, Mable doubles as the most adorable Easter Bunny you’ve ever seen.
Two of Mable’s favorites are bunnies, with names like Schnuffel, Snowball, and Lulu, with who she enjoys playfully romping in the grass. So cute! She even seems to fixate on chocolate bunnies for Easter.

Here on this farm, all the animals seem to live in harmony. Below, a duckling nuzzles with kittens, oblivious that there’s anything unusual about such an arrangement. It melts your heart.
Despite her huge size, this is one big loveable dog who couldn’t hurt a fly, although she barely fits on the couch. If only all creatures could live in such peaceful harmony. She’s “a Mummy to all things small,” Emma says.
On the other hand, not all of Mable’s friends are small. For example, she takes her Big Friend, a horse, on walks by the lead.
Also, Mable is equally cuddly with her humans, so much so it’s comical to watch. No wonder she once won a ribbon for “The dog the judge would most want to take home.” Who wouldn’t love to have such a loveable dog or imagine such a wonderful gentle farm life?
