A street cat named Benson from Dubai must have been destined to be a fashion model and Instagram influencer. Or “meowdel”?
Sometimes, stars are discovered wandering the street. For example, a talent scout spotted actress and model Anya Taylor-Joy walking in London. That’s how his humans from America found Benson, spotting a future star walking the streets.
Like Anya Taylor-Joy, Benson is a natural model who loves fashion and modeling. However, the cat wasn’t out shopping – he was lost and in grave danger after his family abandoned him.
Benson Adopted by American Couple
Fortunately, Benson’s luck and natural talent are overflowing, and he charmed the couple so much they brought him back to America to become part of the family. In particular, he’s very fond of his cat dad, following him around and waiting for him at the door when he leaves for work.
“We found Benson 5 years ago, he was roaming the streets of Dubai. His old family moved away and left him behind, so we adopted him and brought him to the USA,” the owners told Bored Panda.
Soon after adopting Benson, the couple discovered the cat had a natural raw talent for modeling. Unlike most cats, Benson would hold still whenever the couple pointed the camera at him as if posing.

However, the natural inclination to model went much further. You see, Benson is so patient that he seems to enjoy wearing clothes and even glasses. On the other hand, they say he absolutely detests having anything on his feet, so no little shoes or socks.
As for wearing glasses, they say, “Benson took to them absolutely immediately.”
On Instagram, Benson, who has over 245k followers, wears hats, glasses, and a constantly changing wardrobe. Usually, he’s posed among the cozy white pillow in the window. But, you never know where he might appear next. For example, he’s been known to sit on an iron throne and a motorcycle.
“It’s me… I sit on the iron throne!!! It’s totally legit cause I got the crown and everything.”
Benson Seems to Enjoy Modeling
Since appearing in March 2019, Benson appeared in more typical photos, sleeping and doing cat things. In April, he began to wear round black glasses, like Harry Potter and a bow tie. Next thing you know, he’s wearing all manner of hats and new outfits. Unlike most cats, Benson loves the camera, calmly posing as if he knows he’s a born star.
Could Benson really enjoy modeling these clothes? Perhaps, he knows it will all pay off.

⭐ A Star for Adopting and Rescuing Pets ⭐
After a year, Benson had 100K fans, and his humans say they were “deeply humbled” by all the love, while Benson looked like a party animal celebrating.
“If I may speak on Benson’s behalf, he only wants love, attention and shrimps,” they wrote. “And with so many of you, it’s safe to say he gets plenty of it now. If there is one thing we could ask of you, it would be to keep loving Benson the way you do, and if your situation [allows] please adopt/rescue pets. There are so many Benson’s out there waiting for their parents and forever home. 👫🏡👭🏡👬🏡”
Then, Benson’s fans voted him Cat of the Month, and he received a trophy.
In April 2021, Benson appeared as Sir Bensleepsalot, and once more, he seems proud of his latest costume. Or, maybe he’s humoring the humans until he gets more seafood?

In July, Benson was elevated to royal status, and he knew it. Of all the looks, this one seems to suit him most, perhaps.

Lately, Benson has been taking to wearing drag and looking fabulous doing it. 🦩🦩🦩

The next day, he’s just as comfortable posing as a cowboy.
When Benson reached 200K fans, his humans thanked his legion of adoring worshippers/followers. Once more, they encourage everyone to rescue and support animal adoptions.
