Did you know that Mr. Dean Winchester was looking for his forever home? He’s the “world’s cuddliest kitten,” according to his foster mom.

No, we aren’t talking about Jensen Ackles, who played Dean Winchester on Supernatural fame. However, this is one super adorable kitten who pulled through disaster thanks to kind rescuers in Tampa, Florida. His full name is Dean Michael Winchester.

Nobody knows how it happened, but Dean had two broken back legs when someone found him as a stray.

He would require surgery on both legs at the Veterinary Surgery Center of Sarasota for a chance at life. Until surgery, he needed pain medication but was the sweetest little gentleman. Everyone fell in love with him.

“Despite his injuries, he is the absolute sweetest kitten I’ve met in a while,” said foster mom Alex.

“Little Dean Winchester is a proper gentleman ❤️❤️,” shared Happy Tailz Cat Rescue, Inc“He’s a little ham muffin, and his foster is obviously in love with him. I mean… look at that little face!!”

Happy Tailz is the same group of wonderful rescuers who helped Cat Man Chris rescue “Cole Jr.,” and cared for Volstagg, the big orange kitty. Volstagg arrived at the county shelter paralyzed in his rear legs, but with the rescuer’s help, he recovered and found a forever home with Cole Jr. You can see that story here.

Dean Winchester Comes Through Surgery

Little Dean Winchester proved tough and came through the double surgeries feisty and fierce.

“Post-op Dean using that right leg strong and screaming per usual,” said Alex.

After repeat follow-ups with the veterinarians, Dean continued to improve. Wonderfully, kind people donated enough to finance the expensive procedures.

“Everything is looking great, and Dean is just a ham muffin! I mean, how can everyone not just fall in love with his little face and big eyes?” Happy Taiz shared. “He’s one week two days post-op now and going strong. Thank you to everyone who donated to help save Deans’s legs.”

By the end of the month, he was like a new kitty, even though expectations were it would be a long road to recovery. It was almost supernatural how fast he recovered.

“I’m truly amazed by the progress this one has made since I’ve had him,” Alex said.

After his health rebounded, he was ready to be neutered. After that, the vets cleared him to find a forever home. By the end of the next month, Dean was ready and looking happy and ready to take on the world.

“He will be a hard foster to let go and everyone who meets him falls in love, but I know he will make someone very happy in the near future,” said Alex.

Happily, Dean Winchester was adopted. After all that the rescuers and the tiny kitten went through, a heartwarming turn in Dean’s story.

“Dean Winchester: Bilateral broken back legs. Both orthopedically repaired. Adopted!”
