First off, thank you to all the delivery people across the world. Without these individuals and their dedication to timely delivering our products and mail, we would be lost. Now, occasionally there are moments captured of these public servants losing their cool on home security systems. Long thankless days in every sort of weather cannot be easy. And they are the ones blamed when mother nature causes delays. From their position, many locations can be terrifying just to approach with guard animals or unruly neighbors lurking nearby.

But one woman found herself uniquely detained by a grateful soul while on her delivery route.

In a video shared online, the woman is going about her day in a lovely countryside location, likely England by her accent. While making a delivery at a home with a Ring camera, she was approached by one of the locals. What she didn’t expect was the warm welcome and grateful attitude that accompanied the friendly soul. There was an immediate connection between the two, who chatted up instantly like they were old friends.

A black cat met her at the door and proceeded to climb up her person, perching on her neck. No hesitation, no “feeling out the situation”. Just instant claiming of the human in front of him. I stand by my belief that black cats are the sweetest out there.

And what did the delivery woman do? Well obviously, she pulled out her phone and began taking photos of the hilarious event through her giggles.

“I don’t know if it’s your cat, but I’ve got your cat on me back. [laughter] I’ve got a parcel for you. Do you want me to leave it at the door? No, [more laughter] I love cats it’s fine.”

The best reason for having security cameras at your door.

Because of the homeowner having the Ring camera, she was able to speak to the delivery woman directly, both woman enjoying the moment fully. Luckily the worker is clearly a cat lover. And because she is the one bringing the beloved cardboard boxes to the home, she’s likely high on the cats list of favorite humans too!

Even when she bends down to allow the friendly black cat to jump off her back, he refuses. She simply begins to walk off, hunched over, with the cat remaining on her shoulder.

So next time your mail or delivery is running late, think of it this way. You may be at the mercy of a friendly cat and the purrfect worker having a heartwarming security camera moment! Worth it.
