Cat rescuer Nathan Kehn, AKA Nathan The Cat Lady, has his hands full in the L.A. area after discovering litters of kittens behind the gym he goes to. Yes, that’s his hilarious nickname. Following the advice of Sterling’ TrapKing’ Davis, who taught him about rescuing kittens, he would help save many lives from just one small area of the big city.
💪😸 Gym Trainer Takes in 7 Kittens 💪😸
Luckily knowing who to call, his gym trainer contacted him about seven wee kittens. With help from the Stray Cat Alliance, they took in the adorable babies, the mom and dad, who would be fixed. On the whole, shelters everywhere become overloaded with kittens each spring, and it’s always challenging to find enough resources and people to help. That said, how could anyone resist once they see these kittens or hear their little meows?
Fortunately for this litter, the gym’s trainer, Joseph Orellana, agreed to bottle-feed the seven kittens. For neonates, rescuers must provide round-the-clock care. Despite the sleepless nights, the payback is all worth it as they grow.
“Those little meows are killin’ me,” said Nathan. “Luckily for now, [Orellana] is bottle feeding all 7 kittens, but he needs help. There are more kittens coming in every day.”

Nathan The Cat Lady Goes Back for More Cats
In the comments, Nathan said he was going back for more mother cats from the same area of Los Angeles. Certainly, it shows that TNR efforts are much-needed in the city, as they are everywhere. By trapping, neutering or spaying and then returning feral cats, they won’t have kittens requiring rescue, kittens that often suffer and die needlessly.
“Definitely not even close to being done at this location,” Nathan said on Instagram. “But will try and keep you all in the loop. This just shows why T.N.R. ( Trap Neuter Return) is so important.”
“Also I always gotta tag my boy @the_original_trapking because he’s the one who taught me how to do this. 🙌🏻”
This time, Nathan and a friend have to use some ingenuity to capture the beautiful mom and the kittens. When they arrived, they saw the mama cat was already moving her litter to a new location in an industrial setting. So, the rescuers followed. Luckily, they were able to reach the babies and brought each one to a crate.
Next, they had to find the mother cat, who ran off. To achieve this, they cleverly drew her out by placing an open trap near the covered crate containing the kittens. From there, they waited for mom to return to her litter, which she did – repeatedly. Finally, the pretty mom went inside the trap, and the whole family could be saved.

With the family unit together, the kittens could receive the care and attention that only the momma can give. Also, it would mean that rescuers may not need to bottle-feed unless she neglected her litter. More than likely, she would be an attentive and caring mom, as her refusal to leave them behind indicates. As you can see below, the mother cat is absolutely gorgeous!
