The life of a cat and baby who are BFFs has captivated millions on social media. Mom Bruna Fava has a large following and often shares videos of the cat, Cindy, and baby Natalie. Cindy was cat adopted as a stray and was clearly destined to be Natalie’s best friend.
Fava is a self-professed cat lover, popular on TikTok and Instagram for her “Mom Hacks,” recipes, and cute videos. Frequently, she shares moments with her adorable baby, her husband, and the family cats.
In January 2020, Natalie came into the world. From the start, the baby became close with cats, including a ginger cat, Simba.
Soon after, Natalie and Cindy, the black and white cat, began appearing together.

Cindy and Natalie
As you can see, Cindy showed extraordinary patience with the baby. Since then, the two have been inseparable. Frequently, Cindy is perched nearby, always wanting to stay with the baby. Even when Natalie gets a little grabby with the cat’s tail, Cindy responds lovingly.
Cindy and Natalie Grow Up Together
As Natalie grows and experiences new things, Cindy is her constant companion. In one video, you can see Natalie reading a book to Cindy.
In another, Natalie snores away in dreamland while Cindy looks on.
“Not my one-year-old snoring like an 80-year-old man taking a nap on a rainy day.”
“Even the cat got scared 😳”
When the Stray Cat Becomes Your Big Sister
Over the months, Bruna Fava shared many moments as the cat and baby enjoyed life. Recently, Fava shared a compilation video showcasing their special friendship. As you watch, you can see Natalie becoming a toddler before your eyes with her constant companion Cindy.
In the background, you can hear a scene from “The Little Rascals.”
In one moment, Natalie is just a baby in her crib with Cindy watching over her. Then, the baby is pushing the cat in a baby stroller. Next, she’s taking a bubble bath as Cindy looks on. In another scene, Cindy gets a push down a slide followed by naptime.

Babies Raised with Pets
In the comments, people loved seeing the baby and cat together.
“It makes it even better because Natalie looks like Darla from the little rascals! 🤍👒” wrote one person in the comments.
“Best friends since the beginning,” wrote another.
Many people thought the slide moment was funny, while others expressed concern. It’s as if the two really are siblings who can sometimes annoy one another. Sometimes, toddlers can be grabby, and cats may need an area to retreat for a break. As kids grow, being near pets helps teach them to be gentle and compassionate with animals.
Studies who kids raised with pets suggest it may lead to improved Emotional Intelligence (EQ) skills which improve with practice. Such skills include compassion, self-esteem, dealing with stress, and understanding the cycle of life.

Recently, Natalie went shopping with a little dog named Lulu, but the cats remain supreme at home.
“Natalie had one of the best day of her life going for shopping with Lulu 🐶 and if you’re wondering…NO I will not give her a puppy, not yet ok? 😂”
