You know when you were younger and felt the excitement at being invited to a slumber party?
Now, imagine that was just a mistake and there was no party to attend? Just devastating.

That’s how the world feels right now after the U.S. State Department accidentally sent out an email teasing just that.
Entitled “Meeting”, the blast was accidentally sent out by the U.S. Embassy in Canberra, Australia. They later explained to the Australian Associated Press (AAP), that this was just a training error made by a new staff member.
The meeting invite included a cat dressed in a Cookie Monster outfit and holding a plate of cookies.

It’s not only crazy cat people that would have attended that type of epic party!
According to the AAP, public affairs counselor Gavin Sundwall emailed a response a couple of days after the incident.
“Sorry to disappoint those of you who were hoping to attend this ‘cat pajama-jam’ party, but such an event falls well outside our area of expertise.”
Can you hear the collective world’s sigh of disappointment?
Twitter has been flooded with posts and comments sharing the joy and utter drag that it’s not happening.

Followed by almost 67K people on Instagram and over 95K on Facebook, everyone of them would have been attendance.
We’d all surely be donning our most fashionable pj’s.
Purrhaps that’s just what the world needs amidst the politics, arguing and massive destruction of mother earth? A good ol’ fashioned cat related pajama party!
May have to look into this since it IS our area of expertise! LOL
